Things to do

Uncasville's biggest attraction is the Mohegan Sun, one of the largest casinos in the world. The complex covers over 23,000 square metres and houses a luxury hotel, retail complex and entertainment centre. It also boasts three dazzling casinos, with more than 5,000 slot machines and over 300 table games.

Uncasville is also a great place to discover local Native American culture. Nearby Fort Shantok was once a major Mohegan settlement. In the 1600s the sacred site was home to Uncas, one of the most powerful Mohegan leaders of all time.

From a mandolin-playing t-rex to a playful band of dimetrodons, Wells Dinosaur Haven is one of Connecticut's top roadside attractions. Local resident Jeff "Fish" Wells has been crafting fibreglass dinosaurs since the 1980s and now has over 35 prehistoric giants living in his backyard.

Golfers should book a tee time at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club, which features 18 holes and meticulously manicured greens. Grab a cold beverage at the Pautipaug Pub or pick up golf gear at the on-site Golf Shop.

The most convenient way get around Uncasville by car or by using Uber. Mohegan Sun offers a complimentary shuttle service from Bradley International Airport, which is one hour from Uncasville. If you're driving from Boston, allow around 90 minutes.
