Famed as the station where Paddington Bear arrived when he first came to London, the Paddington Railway Station is a major railway terminus for short and long-distance services. Much of the original station dates back to 1854, when it was designed by renowned engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Check the current train schedule on one of the big screens, with services including the Paddington Heathrow Express and long-distance trains to south-west England and Wales. Alternatively, walk from the Paddington Railway Station to the adjacent London Underground station to connect to Marylebone, Victoria or King’s Cross.

Newsagents, money exchange counters and eateries are scattered throughout the station, together with souvenir shops where you can pick up Paddington Bear memorabilia. If you want to explore the surrounding area, there’s also a left luggage office where you can drop your bags.

Getting there

Paddington Railway Station is north of Hyde Park and connects to destinations across London on the Hammersmith and City subway lines. London Heathrow Airport is a 40-minute drive away or 15 minutes on the Paddington Heathrow Express.
