Explore the Orchha Fort Complex, which encompasses ancient monuments, temples and palaces along the Betwa River. Follow the arched causeway to the grand gateway of the complex before it opens out into a large courtyard flanked by palaces.

Experience the former grandeur of Orchha’s royal residents at the Raj Mahal, a 17th-century palace. Admire the projected balconies and latticed windows, then step inside to see the exquisite murals depicting a variety of religious themes.

Don’t miss the Jahangir Mahal, which exhibits Islamic and Mughal architecture in its ornate, four-storey design. Admire the royal paths and small garden dwelling of Rai Parveen, the Raja’s female escort, then see the Uth Khana where the King's camels were stationed.
