Feel like connecting with nature? At Kondalilla National Park, you can hike through rainforests and eucalypt groves and dive into pristine rock pools with thundering waterfalls. Head over to Flame Hill Vineyards for wine tasting and picnicking with sweeping views of Obi Obi Valley.

Just outside Montville, Baroon Pocket Dam lures anglers searching for Australian bass. Take the boardwalk to Baroon Lookout or kayak along the lake’s rim to spot kangaroos and koalas. Barbecue pits and playgrounds make it a perfect family outing.

You’ll find dozens of foodie spots in Montville, particularly on Main Street. Some favourites include Fudgyboombahs confectioners, famous for butter-candy macadamias and butterscotch fudge. At Montville Coffee, you can take a class in latte art or visit its organic coffee-roasting factory. For a special treat, drive out to Balmoral Road for dinner at The Long Apron on Spicers Clovelly Estate.
