About Abersoch

The lively seaside resort of Abersoch is perched on the Llyn Peninsula. Once a bustling fishing village, today a Blue Flag beach makes Abersoch one of the top summer destinations in North Wales. Sunseekers flock to bask on the golden sand, swim in the Irish Sea and soak in the holiday atmosphere. Colourful beach huts dot the sand and can be rented by the day or week.

Strong coastal winds make Abersoch one of England’s top windsurfing and sailing destinations. You’ll also find some great surf beaches strung along the coast. Events like the annual summer jazz festival and sailing regatta give Abersoch an upbeat feel.

Boat tours depart from the harbour and take you to offshore islands like St Tudwal’s and Bardsey. The islands are home to a playful colony of grey seals, as well as dolphins and porpoises. Watch for rare choughs and Manx shearwaters nesting on the rocky shorelines. Popular walks like the Cim Farm Circuit showcase lush countryside and spectacular coastal scenery.

Getting there
